Four people have died and three others are in critical condition following a mid-air collision between two helicopters near Sea World on Australia's Gold Coast. The crash occurred on January 2nd as one helicopter was taking off and the other was landing. The victims were traveling in the same helicopter, and two of them were UK citizens. Five of the six people on the other helicopter, which made an emergency landing, suffered minor injuries. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating the collision, which happened at around 14:00 local time (04:00 GMT). The two helicopters crashed near a tourist strip known as Main Beach, about 75 km (47 miles) south of Brisbane.
