Tragedy struck a Pennsylvania chocolate factory on Friday, as an explosion shook the premises, leading to the deaths of two individuals.
Initial reports suggested that the death toll was five, but Mayor Samantha Kaag later clarified that only two had died, with five others still missing. One person was rescued overnight.
The Reading Hospital spokeswoman, Jessica Belzer, confirmed that eight individuals had been brought to the facility, with two in fair condition, one transferred, and the others released.
The cause of the blast remains unknown, and the R.M. Palmer Company has not yet responded to requests for comment.
