The Stockholm Diamond League 400m hurdles race faced an unexpected disruption as environmental activists interrupted the event with a banner spanning across six lanes, forcing the athletes to run through it. The protesters, affiliated with the Swedish organization A22 Network, aimed to raise awareness about the restoration of drained wetlands. Despite the interruption, Norwegian athlete Karsten Warholm remained focused and crossed the finish line in 47.57 seconds, expressing his disapproval of the protest afterward. The rainy and challenging conditions at the Galan Diamond League meet tested the athletes' resilience, with Swedish pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis impressing the crowd by clearing 6.05 meters. Canadian distance runner Kieran Lumb also achieved a personal best in the men's 3,000m race. The Diamond League season will continue in Poland and Monaco after a two-week break.
