A woman has been rescued by Las Vegas SWAT officers after being dragged into a Caesars Palace hotel room by a crazed armed man.
News of the rescue was shared by the Las Vegas Metropolitan PD Tuesday evening. A spokesperson tweeted: 'SWAT made entry into the hotel room and has taken the subject into custody.
'The female who was also in the room is safe and with officers. There will be a large police presence with vehicles as this investigation continues and units disperse.
It came hours after the aggressor barricaded himself and the victim inside and threw furniture out of a window into the pool area below.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they received a report of a domestic violence disturbance at the hotel and casino at around 9.15am local time Tuesday.
The male suspect dragged the female victim into the room 'by force' before police arrived, and when they tried to make contact with the occupants of the room, a man refused to open the door and said he was armed.
He has since been seen hurling large items out of a window, including a chair, as a SWAT team and crisis negotiators try to speak to him. The man was seen at one point wearing a hat, shirt, and shorts as he was apparently yelling.
No shots were fired.
