Tapachula, Chiapas. A group of migrants caused a stampede during a Document Review in the Tapachula Ecopark, in the state of Chiapas.
The brawl It happened in the offices of the Mexican Commission for Aid to Refugees which were enabled in the area to serve them.
Groups of Haitian migrants attend these offices to process a humanitarian visa due to the precariousness they experience in their nations of origin. However, these procedures take time, so they must wait days and spend nights on the premises.
This Monday, October 23migrants were upset after the lack of staff and the slowness of procedures, creating confrontations that led to a stampede.
The security fence collapsed with the pushing that some of the participants began in their desperation to be cared for. The incident resulted in two arrested and 10 injured.
