ROYSE CITY, Texas — An 18-wheeler driver sustained minor injuries after his vehicle veered off the roadway, crashed into an embankment, and became wedged under a bridge in the Royse City, Texas, area.
The incident, which took place on the westbound lane of IH30 at Farm-to-Market (FM) 35, caused significant delays for rush-hour motorists.
FM 35 at IH30 was closed for a period during the duration of the incident. IH 30 traffic continued, although heavily congested.
The driver, according to police, only sustained minor injuries despite the severity of the crash.
