Video footage reveals the shocking moment an illegal migrant in a 'stolen state-owned tow truck' smashed into multiple cars and injured two cops in a wild chase in Maryland.
Cesar Flavio Lanuza, a 27-year-old citizen of Nicaragua who is allegedly in the United States illegally, led authorities on the reckless hour-long high-speed chase last Friday - hitting at least 20 vehicles along the way.
The suspect allegedly took off in a stolen State Highway Administration tow truck who was assisting someone at a park-and-ride off Interstate 95 in Beltsville.
Lanuza traveled onto the Beltway, hitting three vehicles at around 5:15 pm. As police initiated a pursuit, the driver drove through a grassy area, snagging utility lines and hitting more cars as it drove onto oncoming traffic.
The truck then did a U-turn - ramming into police cruisers head-on. Two police officers were injured and have now been released from the hospital, according to Maryland State Police.
