Mother of Corey Micciolo breaks down in court after 'Treadmill dad' Christopher Gregor is found guilty of aggravated manslaughter.
Six-year-old Corey died in 2021 after being abused by his father.
Despite the jury rejecting a murder charge, Gregor is still facing a prison term of 10 to 30 years for aggravated manslaughter.
Outside of the courthouse, the boy's mother Breanna Micciolo spoke out about the verdict.
"We're happy with the verdict and we thank the prosecutor's office. He deserves to be in jail. He's a very bad man."
During the trial, the prosecutor claimed that Corey died from a lacerated heart and liver because of the abuse he suffered from Gregor.
"The defendant lacerated Corey's heart, lacerated his liver, and Corey's lungs were bruised. This is why Corey died.
