The man reportedly listened to 70 South Korean songs, watched a few videos, and shared the material.
The K-pop ban is to shield North Koreans against the "malign influence" of Western culture.
The rule was tightened under a new law adopted by North Korea in 2020, which reportedly prohibits "reactionary ideology and culture.
